In error I inflated the tyres to 35 psi on my C3. I normally use 25 psi on the Goodrich 235/60x15's.
I was surprised that the handling sharpened-up significantly, it stopped some of the tyre squeeling when cornering and seemed far better planted on the road. This was very noticable cornering at higher speeds, at lower pressures the tyres would always wallow around.
The only downside seems to be a slightly harder ride (mine is hard enough already with F40 suspension)and some additional wheel spin when launching off the line.
My question is (bearing in mind that Goodrich tyres never actually seem to wear out) have any of you guy got thoughts/experiences with this.

You'll also probably notice a bit better fuel consumption too running on slightly harder tyres: I have my Caddy at 33psi, up from 30psi, and I get about an extra 1mpg (or about 5% )

Yes, slightly harder ride... My Corvette is running at 35psi, which is as recommended for it, so can't comment on a change from 25-35 as you've had...

Reduced grip under acceleration means reduced grip under braking too so over-inflated tyres are definitely to be avoided!

Couple of points here. Don't know what year you have but generally C3s were designed with a 2psi difference between front and rear. Assuming you have stnd suspension etc etc the the important point is to keep this difference between front and rear; within reason the actual pressures used are less important, more a matter of personal preference. But yes 35psi sounds a tad high to me and 25 a tad too low. Without going out to the car I suspect the pressure figure on the side of the T/A is 25psi but in my view that is too low. I did run at 30/32 for some time but then reduced it to 28/30 as it seemed to me the rear wear was slightly wrong.
