Where to find rare CDs?

Got a bit of a shock when I searched for a couple of CDs I had on vinyl in the early 80s. There were various comments I could find on line which suggested that CD versions were quite rare and sure enough I could only find imports but secondhand prices are like £91 or £128 or something ridiculous in obvious places like Amazon Resellers.
Who has any tips on places I should start looking for "rare" stuff.
(And, for information, these were three Wishbone Ash albums released originally between '80-84 called "Number The Brave", "Twin Barrels Burning" and "Raw to the Bone" - I would never have parted with the vinyl had I not realised! It's not like they were that special - although obviously I think they were good)
