A toast sandwich, with the toast inside the bread.

If you fancy a toast salad sandwich, just add grass!

And a lot nicer. Each slice of bread costs 2.5p ditch a slice of bread and add a spoon of jam from a cheapo 20p a jar that will cost a fraction of a penny, far cheaper.

I have sent my quote into them by fax for a Marmalade sandwich, as it is slightly cheaper however jam would still work within the costs. Wonder if I'll hear anything?

Have any of you lot actually tried it though?

My friend was properly obsessing over it so I succumbed today. I was actually pretty surprised, yeah there are infinitely better things out there (even if you *are* on a budget...) but it was passable. Don't intend to make a habit of it though. I don't particularly want to be buying endless loaves of bread, have enough trouble with my milk consumption at the moment.

Never tried it practically and would not want to, I just find it sad that there is a group of people / company / government body out there researching this st and clearly getting it wrong.

What worries me is how many years they spent looking for this amazing recipe.

I read it yesterday too, different article I think. Suggested salt and pepper in the other article IIRC.

I'll give it a go... out of a single slice of bread in thirds.
