The lights that are designed help people wake up better in the mornings, are they supposed to be used as you wake up? Or later in the day?

Reason I ask is because one of my colleagues has bought one and switches it on when he gets into the office (about 9am). It makes him look like a smurf!

Has he got the wrong idea with it (i.e. supposed to turn it on in the morning to help you wake up)?

Someone used to do just that where I worked a few years ago... but she was weird.

After a quick google search, it seems that they are used to give SAD people a lift anytime in the day, although I know you can get alarm clock type ones that are designed to wake you up.

Quite sute there are both types. Alarm and ones that can be used during the day.

i think you are talking about two different types of light. As far as i'm aware there are Wake up Lights and SAD lights which both do different things.

im no expert but i think the wake up light helps you naturally wake up and the SAD light helps you cope with that new syndrome that doesn’t really exist Seasonal Effecting disorder.
