Hello!

So I've persuaded a few friends after going to Copenhagen to venture to Sweden. Thought Stockholm would be ideal but to be honest have never been there so don't know why!

Just after some advice on where to go, what go do, and anything to do when we're there?

Age range is Mid 20s so more beer fuelled!

Thanks in advance!

Totally agree with the above, beer is not cheap if bought from the government run off licenses. It can be bought from supermarkets though it's a maximum of 3.5% beer. As for bars and clubs drinks are expensive, but as you've been to Copenhagen it isn't too different price -wise.

I haven't been to Stockholm yet, so can't give any advice on where to go etc unfortunately!

Just spent 6 months there working.

You got hotel sorted?

Beer/food is bloody expensive! No such thing as hookers etc, but obviously that's not what you are going for.

When are you going? It's getting very dark now, snow will come soon

Thanks for the replies!

Think we'll be going in january and if it snows even better!

Price shouldn't be too much of a problem as its only 3 days.

Still looking for a good central hotel but still working out where to fly to?!

Many thanks!

Fly into Arlanda and get the express train into the centre of town. Loads of hotel options there.

Stureplan is the generic centre for drinking etc, can't think of anything more specific off the top of my head.

Actually if there is a group of you it's better to have a taxi and share the cost vs the Arlanda Express train. Last time I worked it out it was better if there were two of you to share a cab.

The taxi will be a fixed price and will take you to your hotel door, vs the train which which will just take you to the station and then you have still to get to your hotel.

The other alternative is the transfer bus, much cheaper, but still have the Centralstation > hotel problem.
