Michelin Restaurant in or around London
Discussion
Brothers 40th end of Jan but there will be around 12 of us, which rules out a lot of places (and probably rules out Dinner for most)
Can anyone recommend anywhere to go ideally on a Saturday? (he lives near Bray so Fat Duck/Waterside would have been ideal but FD won't allow more than 6 guests I think. He did want Gordon Ramsay at Royal Hosptial Road but no availability until end Feb)

Mrs Windsorphil came in the other day having been to Locanda Locatelli - she loved it, so much we are going for lunch in a couple of weeks. Has a star and the menu looks good, private dining available.
Scotts is good for lunch, it was my regular lunch haunt for a while, with such a large group again they may put you in a private room, so you may miss out on the atmosphere...

Not exactly London, but not too far away, the Hand & Flowers at Marlow has just been awarded it's 2nd Michelin Star. I dined there 3 weeks ago and can attest to how deserving they are of their new 2-Star status.

Great shout, but my brother lives in Marlow (so lucky with this and Bray nearby) but has it in his head that he wants to go into Londonwww.thehandandflowers.co.uk
He was also fortunate to have a cooking lesson there last year (chef made him gut a fish after he mentioned he was a little hung over!) I've never been but the menu looks amazing (drooling looking at it now)

Butchers Block at Maze?
Apologies for the brevity yesterday - posted from a 'phone on my way back from work.Ramsey's Maze Grill is a very good night out - not nearly as formal as many of his other restaurants, but with magnificent food. I've taken groups of clients/friends before and used the Chef's table (The Butcher's Block) and had a superb night. From memory it seats 12 or so.

You essentially have your own tasting menu (which you can help design ahead of the night), your own sommelier, your own waiter, and we've always ended up in the kitchen at some point in the night watching/preparing/cooking. Should mention we've always drank too much too...
So not just a meal, more of a night around very good quality food, and something befitting a celebration.
I've been fortunate to eat in many Michelin star restaurants, but this is the one I enjoy the most. Pricey, but then I'm guessing that's to be expected given the places you're aiming for
