Just as the title suggests? Are they any good? Been offered one at a bargain price to replace my Marshall mg50dfx as I need a better tone for playing live.

Any opinions or reviews would be great smile thanks, rik

It'll sound nicer than what you're replacing, but it won't sound exactly like a "proper" all valve amp. How much are you looking to spend, and what sort of sound are you after?

Not heard this particular amp, but it looks like a hybrid amp like the Vox valvetronix with a valve to help the modeling sound more tubey but with a more Marshall slant to things. As above it will sound better than an MG50whatever but will depend on what you are looking for really. Are cleans important? Are you trying to get a decent impression of THAT Marshall drive? vintage (Bluesbreaker/JTM) or more modern? (JCM). Depending on your budget, there are better things out there surely? Especially for playing live?
