It just shows what opinions people can form without ever owning or driving a TVR.

Some of those comments may be justified and some CERTAINLY are not, but lets face it - WHO CARES what other drivers think of us? It all adds to the mystery and awe! My previous car was a Jag XK8 which was lovely but often problematic. The one before that was an XJS and was about as reliable as a Prime Ministerial promise! Lets face it all cars have niggles and problems not least of all Mercs, Beemers, Jags, Ferraris, Astons and, dare I say it, Porkies too! But what other car can put a smile on your face by simply listening to the engine?

Had my two penneth. They've got a point though, maybe I should trade my Tuscan in for a Clio, they sound super bad? Ha ha!

You can't knock the original poster. It's just amazing though how some people are blinded to the fact that some cars are better than others, despite their flaws.

I own a TVR, I'd probably have bought a Ferrari or a Lambo though if I could afford it, but I can't. Still like them though :-)

I am sure there are 1,000 of forums just like that one where people end up giving opinions of cars they have never owned, and usually have no idea what they are talking about but unfortunately some of it is very true, engines are going pop because of valve guides, fingers, sump chains etc, TVR needs to sort this stuff out and shut up the doubters. Mercs, Beemers, porkers, Ferarri all have problems, but if a general fault was discovered in a model they would recall every car to be fixed FOC to avoid the marque being tarnished in anyway. Jaguar has had a recall for the XK8 because of computer problems in the gearbox which could accidently go into reverse. TVR should take the hit and learn a few lesson about customer relations.

Ronks, you used to have a Griff and now a Tuscan - I expect you've been asked this before but how do they compare? Are you happier with the Tuscan/Speed 6?

Both cars are exciting like most TVRs. The Griff 500 was a gem, the handling was very scary in the wet and wasn't happy when driven at very high speeds (steering became very light) The Tuscan is really sure footed at high speeds, faster it went the nicer it felt, handling, brakes and practicality is A1. But I think the Griff is a better car because the speed six is an unfinished engine. I read all the threads about the car before I bought it, and now I have one, it just has to many faults! TVR got to smart when they created this car...great concept but they still use substandard parts in there vehicles. When you get a warning light on you have to guess whether you have a real problem or a fault with the warning mechanism! I work In germany and I always keep a TVR out here to sort the germans out on the Autobahns, I don't think I will bring the Tuscan out here for any period of time, somethink will definately go wrong. The Griff 500 has been sorted out by its customers and its reliable and if something goes wrong any mechanic can sort it out. No way with the Tuscan. I am a TVR addict so I bought this car with my heart but I know deep down its unfinished.

I have to say I laughed at some of the posts...come one...if these guys are TRUE car enthusiasts and they had a chance to get their hands on a TVR...I think they wouldn't say no.

Park our cars next to a clio, who's gonna get the most looks, a clio is not a sportscar a TVR is...nuff said Its that old jealousy scenario coming in to play again me thinks...
