Comparisons - m5

I have had the opportunity to drive a BMW M5 around for a while. My "normal" car is a cerbera 4.5. And i was thinking when "dawdling" on the road to Alton off the M3..i wonder what this M5 compares to as it cannot be compared to the cerbera: totally different. Has anyone else driven the new M5 - i'd be interested to know what they think about it.

After 2 griffs a Cerby and a Tuscan (and kids looming) I started looking at the very few alternatives. Although I wasn't happy about the image I test drove an M5 for a weekend. A great car, if anything too good because it left me feeling strangely flat. It did everything so well but I didn't feel compelled to jump back in it when I gave the keys back. I eventually bought an HSV GTS-R, which although probably not quite as well built is much more involving and gives me that TVR like edgy excitement every time I start it up.
