Im looking for a race series to run along side our Sprint/Hillclimb championship.

I double drive with the wife, so am looking for a series or a couple of events that we can enter.

We run a kitcar (road legal) & although I have a race license, have never raced. Im thinking of the Trackday Trophy. Is there any others?

Thanks

Iv tried the CSCC, but as I havent got a seven look a like, they wont let me.

I see on the Track Day events you can enter both the Trackday & Team Trophy races.
Thanks anyway.

Msvr have a list of cars eligable to race in the Tdt and T'trophy on their website, i think Caterham type cars are not allowed because they dont meet the minimum weight required,
dont know how this would affect your car?
Has been a Ginetta racing this year so well worth asking.
V good series to start out in, recomend it..

Thanks for info.
I looked up the regs for the Trackday & Trophy events. Car must be 750kg or over with a max of 200bhp per ton.

The car is 750kg or maybe just under, with 165bhp (standard 2L Zetec). So I think its outsiade of the requirements. The Ginetta must have been just on the weight limit with perhaps a 1800 engine. i dont know if ballast is allowed. I dont really want to start swapping engines, as it will mess up our sprinting (we would have to go down a size in class, but carry a lot of weight).

The weight limit includes driver and is weighed as car comes off track so fuel load can act as ballast if you are v close to the mark, or just eat a few extra mince pies over christmas..
Also the power/weight ratio is at the wheels.
So 750kg+say80kg = 830kg . Hp 165(flywheel) x 85% = 141bhp ish at the wheels.
Gives you around 170 hp/t. Fit nicely into class B (150-175 bhp\t)
Simples wink
