Ice Hotel - Sweden - Anyone Been?
Discussion
I am looking to do this in January for our 10th wedding anniversary.
Currently looking at 3 nights, two in the "heated" cabins and one in an Art Suite, with a husky sled ride out one night to try and see The Northern Lights thrown in for good measure.
Has anyone been here and am I missing anything else I should be doing?
Who did you book with? I have found two tour operaters that do these trips, one with direct flights and one with a changeover in Stockholm - I did not expect this to be particularly cheap and for the 10th wedding anniversary I am not that bothered but f
k me, it's coming to a lot of money! Any suggestions for an agent that will leave me enough change for the cab home would be great.
Thanks in adavance for any help...

Went a few years back, stayed over night in Stockholm, then got the next evening over night train to the ice hotel. First night in the ice hotel, next 2 in the warm acc. Fantastic experience.
didnt do the dog sledge ride as the thought of them pissing and s
tting over you as they run didnt appeal to either myself or my wife
the night snowmobile with northern lights and food in some hut was really good.
Also did the snow walk which was ok, passed the time as its a bit boring in the day to be honest, not too much to do around, and also the food was pretty poor, unless you like moose!
