Mainly aimed at the fighters and hardcore trainers here:

I'm toying with the idea of buying a sweatsuit as a aid to help me ripping up and shed any residual fatty deposits.

I train 3 - 4 times a week in Mauy Thai, 1 of those sessions is a 1 to 1, and do 3 - 4 morning sessions in the gym or cardio such as running. I'm unsure how I could integrate the use of this into my training, obviously I don't want to be using it regularly as I wouldnt imagine it is safe to have my body temp so high for a long period of time.

What are people's experiences with these and more importantly how do you use them?

If fat leaks through your pores, I would recommend you seek medical help... if you are looking, however, to dehydrate, then they work as you want. biggrin

Lol no the increase in body temp would cause more calories to be burnt and fatty deposits I imagine.

you burn more calories in winter when your body temperature can drop on a very cold day. Excessive sweating achives nothing apart from indicating that your body is overheating with possible long term damage to your internal organs. Your body sweats for one reason - to cool down because it's too hot.

you need to waer enough not to feel cold but also not too many that you start sweating excessivel. I go out in shorts and a light long sleeve top in temps down to 4-5C.

Sweating doesn't make you lose any weight except that for water loss. That's put straight back on because when you're dehydrated you need to drink.

You'll burn slightly more calories on a hot day as your heart has to work harder to pump blood to your skin to allow sweat to evaporate

and heat exchange occur.
