Just been reading the article about Tuxmans green machine in issue 8 of Track Driver. Very interesting article about his car and Nobles in general, although the picture of Simon does have a hint of the John Inman about it .eek

I will scan and post it tonight, it is a bit big at 5 pages.

My copy arrived this morning. Seeing the green machine and Simons ugly mug nearly put me off my cornflakes. Bit disappointed you didn't have your matching shoes on in the pic.

I get a mention.. although it doesnt make the reader fully appreciate the depth of lobbying I did to convince you that you needed a Noble in your life lol

Will you lads stop playing around with 600bhp.
Mine already feels a tad slow (after Tux's at Silverstone) but whilst it works reliably (touch wood) I don't want to mess with it.
You are making me jealous.....

Hi Gadge , yep John has driven lots of STD Nobles , his opinion on the gearchange is pretty fair to be honest and I do agree the seats are a bit thin for lots of track work , pretty good writup , hopefully I can address the issues over the winter :-)

to be fair the 5 speed gearshift is horrible... I upgraded to the 6 speed box and fitted the M400 shifter which is night and day better.

I've got the 6 speed in my GTO3 and i like it. Never had a 6 speed before and i love short shifting to 6 when you're not gunning it to save fuel and there's enough torque to still beat most things.

5th in the 5 speed box is similar ratio as the 6 speed.. i just wish it was a little longer on the 6 speeder maybe 10mph so i can comfortably hit over 200mph smile

I just bought a 7 speed BM and nothing I do will make it save fuel lol
