Prince2 Self Study Exam / Getting Project Management Roles

Hi Chaps, anyone ever self studied for the Prince2 Foundation exam and if so can you recommend places that do the exam only?
Foundation looks fairly straightforward (famous last words!!), plus I learn well on my own. The Practitioner looks like a study course would be very beneficial/only option.
Any advice would also be appreciated trying to get IT Junior Project Manager/admin roles. I have applied for several and am struggling to get my foot in the door, even though I have past project management experience. Most role seem to stipulate a Prince2 qualifications. I am Berkshire based and are keen on London/home counties roles.
