Price a S6 engine?

Due to a current project, I'm going to be putting a 3.6 S6 up for sale.... But how much is it worth?

Currently it runs, but badly. It won't have the airbox, or a few other bits like alternator etc...

I see 4.0S engines at £3-3.5k (from wrecks), so what would the others be worth?

There was 3.6 in the classifieds for a while at £2.750 i think. I don't know if it ever sold or was delisted but it was in good working order according to the seller and came with everything.

sold my very noisy ajp 4.2 for £500.

Bell Hill Garage (in Bath?) have then on ebay for £1500 - both 3.6 and 4.0, sold as seen mind you but run up prior to removal - as the saying goes...pays your money, takes your choice!

I'd say sub 1k if It's missing auxiliaries. You can get your engine re built for 4.5 so one of these with problems and bits missing isn't really Worth much to a wide audience.

Unless they have 200 of those engines advertised on ebay they've been trying to sell them for some time. I think since June.

No airbox ???!! Hard to come by part iirc.... By my reckoning, you should have a spare airbox after your Carbon upgrade to your Sag, or are you starting a collection in some nice glass cabinet Don ??

No Alternator/Aircon drive, no Cats, no Fuel Rail, no Airbox........ just an engine then ???
