Bahamas Speed Week Revival

I don't know if anyone else on here is taking part in this (or likely to be in the Caribbean in early December), but I thought fellow classic car lovers may be interested to know about this event anyway. MOH and I are taking part in this so dropped the car off at the shipping company last week (hopefully we'll see it again in Nassau at the end of next month). Going by what the guy from the packing company said, and the cars that were also there at the time, there's going to be some serious machinery taking part. I hope BSWR goes well so it becomes an annual event - it'll be something to look forward to at the end of the year. Anyway here's a few snaps just to give an idea of some of the cars competing. I'm sorry they're not great photos, but I'll try to take some proper ones of the cars in all their glory when I see them next.

Don't tease me...I have a friend who is working on promoting this event in 2012 to be a Festival of Speed meets Pebble Beach. We are looking at sponsors, locations and chatting with owners and lifestyle organisations to really 'drive' this amazing celebration. More news to follow.

I was there for the first revival in 1996, a great weekend, some really exciting machinery, Sir Stirling Moss, Brian Redman, and Phil Hill(what a nice chap!) to name but a few. I do hope they have a better track lined up these days though.

Yes Sir Stirling will be there again, along with Derek Bell. And according to the October newsletter, they're resurfacing the Arawak Cay Circuit, so hopefully the track should be ok.
