Dulfords - Praise where praise is due
Discussion
Not so much a discussion but more of a THANK YOU to those that recommended them.
On Saturday we took Manda's Chim to Richard and Colin at Dulfords to give it a full Geo setup. (It really was handling like a sick dog. The previous owner had put Gaz Pro's on but by the feel of it never set them up correctly)
After the initial difficulty in finding them (Dulfords have moved! - not far though) we rocked up at 09:30. Richard greeted us, discussed the options and we agreed a "Spirited" setup.
By 12:15 we had a phone call to say the car would be ready by 13:30.
WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! the car was superb, solid, smooth and predictable. Manda immediately noticed the difference and was over the moon!
Richard also put my Griff on the lift to inspect the chassis and general running gear. Result being a big thumbs up (with a note to replace the engine mounts soon)
Officially on Saturdays they close at 12:30 but at 14:00 they were still happy to be looking at my car and willing to make changes to Manda's setup if she found the ride too firm.
I cannot praise Dulfords attention to detail, customer service and general attitude highly enough. They have definately won a new customer with me.!

Let's hold back with this praise, they aren't perfect you know.
Sometimes when working from their office I find the broadband a little slow, and I once had coffee in a cold cup.
Unbelievable.
Coincidentally, I'm sat at Richard's desk now (commandeered it whilst he's out - and my Chim is in!) tapping away on my laptop and their broadband seems fast enough to me. Sometimes when working from their office I find the broadband a little slow, and I once had coffee in a cold cup.

They've just ordered me a replacement alternator (which should be here by 3ish) and Colin is currently playing with the tuning on the car.
BTW, did you know they've moved? (Just a couple of miles away, the new location has a big compound surrounded by a high fence & cctv).

Coffee is a help yourself affair now, so you should be able to satisfy your exact criteria on the cup temp!!!!

Shame you're selling your Chimaera Ralphy, especially after all the time, effort and money you've put into it. So we wont be seeing it at Turtley Mill any more They've just ordered me a replacement alternator (which should be here by 3ish) and Colin is currently playing with the tuning on the car.

Richard and the guys at Dulford/Peninsula have always been on the ball for me over the years. They even drop tested my car's bonnet for gratis once!

Well............... although I've put it up for sale I'm in two minds about selling it!
I'm working abroad more and more and am contemplating living overseas for a while, the problem is I don't know how long for. So it's either sell now or take it off the road and lay her up. The problem with the latter is not having a garage to store in: away for a few months wouldn't be a problem, but say 18 months would be - and at this stage it could be either. Bit of a dilemma really.

But either way, if I'm home on a visit and there's a meet on, I'll be there!
