Having the impression lots of pistonheads use audiogalaxy,
I've created a group named Pistonheads in order to enable exchange of music files that you recommend to other pistonheads, or simply discuss musical background necessities...

Feel free to join!

Top idea Bodo!

Unfortunately though I have just had to ditch over 4gb's worth of MP3's but once I find all the CD's with my other load on I'll upload them to my shared directory.

Its the definitive source of MP3's on the web as far as I am concerned (and I've tried a few). The best bit about is that the P2P client (the 'satellite') is separate to the HTML browsing interface so you can have the satellite running at home and use the web at work to download songs at home!

Between that and my posting here I am suprised I have anytime to do anything at work!

Allright, I've fixed a link:
www.audiogalaxy.com/groups/group.php?&gID=443544

I think quantity of shared songs won't be a criterion. Mine is ~8GB so far.
If you think, you've got too few songs, this is the place to get more!

For those who have no experience with AG: go to www.audiogalaxy.com , download the Satellite (very lean software manageing song sharing on your PC; even available for Linux ), register as user, join group. Done.

The AG Satellite is supposed to be clean of spyware, whatsoever, and I experienced more reliably and better song availability.

Like every group, we need to have rules, which need to be discussed:
Numpties not allowed, Novah Boys admitted, but forbidden to send songs to other members , etc.

cheers,

No, not yet! Just turned my computer on in the last 10 minutes or so! Had a problem with it last night too!

How do I know if I will receive it?!?!

Best thing would be to run your satellite: there will be a window which monitors your down- and uploads.

If you press th 'Go'-button, your personal AG-homepage will open, where you have an overview about received, transferring, processing and offline songs in your queue.

There is a play-button (>) on the left of each new song. If you have an mp3-player installed on your pc, song will play automatically, if you press that button!

If you are running your satellite, and the LeMans file is not downloaded so far, you'll find a message from 'Pistonheads' on your homepage, in which you could start the download.

cheers,
Bodo
