Me too, Edinburgh seems to be the best performer for them.

I think Glasgow has more international flight routes, holiday operators and more of the big airlines at it. Edinburgh seems to be mainly populated by cheap airlines and commuter flights.

I can see why they are keeping Glasgow.

Also Glasgow is a nicer building.

I've always felt that Glasgow Airport was the wrong side of Glasgow - not as bad as Prestwick obviously, but not as convenient as Edinburgh for most people. It must have easier potential for expansion, but surely the building needs a lot of work to get it up to Edinburgh's current state.

Here's hoping that there is now proper competition between the two for passengers, and that we all benefit.

They are selling Edinburgh because they can get more money for it to pay off their massive debts.

Exactly. I've flown from Edinburgh a couple of times and much prefer glasgow. With the recent upgrades and future works planned, it will be a really nice airport to fly from. Certainly beats Prestwick thats forsure!

Does this mean we'll be getting more flights and options from Glasgow then? I fly to the Belgian offices quite alot and am sick of driving to Edinburgh from Glasgow at daft o'clock in the morning.
