Guys.

I am sure there are a lot of you who fancy seeing what their car is all about under safe conditions.

There is a novice track day at Snetterton that won't have a load of loons aggressively driving up your chuff.

This day is for people who have done 3 T/D's or less.

The even better part is that it is only £89.00 for a whole day, open pit lane!!!!

That means you can go out as often as you want on a fantastic circuit that could have been designed for a TVR, plenty of long straights and fast bends with a surface like a billiard table.

I spoke to the organisers and if a group of 5 is booked they will throw in a garage, a group of 10 and there is a 10% discount!

What do you say?

You know you want to wink.

I do; but I've done more than 3 track days so it probably wouldn't be appropriate.

Hope lots of people sign up though as they are amazing on track and a lot of fun smile

The point is, they are trying to keep out the hardened nutters, race teams who test cars etc.

I told them I've done about 30 days but if I come with a novice group they'll "keep an eye on me"!

It's all about attracting new custom without frightening people off.

On a personal level, I love T/D's.
Where else can you drive flat out on a perfect road?

What is the noise limit?

I haven't tracked the Tuscan yet, so it will be interesting to see what it is like but it will never meet a 110 db limit

Noise limit is 105db which is quite loud.

I will have 2 sets of bolt on silencers with me as I shouldn't need them as standard I always pass at a max of 98ish, often as low as 95!

Try Tim at ACT, should be off the shelf.

Thanks, I will try him, but for a decatted Tuscan I think I need something more than ACT's, I will need to swap the rear cans for something much quieter

My T350s not de-catted but has a sports exhaust so I'm having the ACTs fitted tomorrow but am also having the standard exhaust fitted too. My local track is Brands and the drive-by limit is mostly only 92db so the ACT silencers alone are not enough.

Hi Graham, it will be good to see you againm

Obviously you are a complete novice and. Tell the truth at all times!

We should probably start a list and get a feel for numbers.

Neal, AlexD downloaded an app that seemed quite accurate as a freebee.

Well I'm in biggrin And also attending the charity track day on the 26th. As always with me though, it's dependent on not getting a call back to work, although these dates should be pretty bombproof rolleyes

Monumental f@ck up.

The 26th is a standard open pit T/D!

The 21st is the novice day.

I picked the novice day as I thought a lot of you would like a non-pressurised introduction to T/D's.

I will ask the MODS to change the title as I can't.

Sorry guys, must be an age thing smile .
