Hi All,
I'll be flying from Gatwick next month to Tampa and I've been looking at the cost of the Servisair Wentworth Lounge and No1 Lounge.
By my reckoning the cost of them is about the same as paying for a breakfast either at the hotel I'm staying at the night before or at the airport plus a couple of drinks, so they do look quite tempting.
Has anybody used them and are they worth it?

Immediately discount the Wentworth. I've been told it is like a bus shelter by more than one person who works for Gatwick.

Number 1 is nice and only opened late last year. I used the South one. The food is small and snacklike, you won't get a big breakfast but what I had was nice. Drinks were fine, a limited range are free. Newspapers are available.

I had over an hour to burn and some work to do and it was relaxing and useful to sit there in peace getting marginally sloshes before the flight. You might get some discount booking via an aggregator such as Holiday Extras. To be honest I hate overpriced airport shopping, love sitting with a beer and a paper- for me it was worth the money.

Thanks, I was begining to lean more towards the No1 lounge as Servisair don't seem to want to give out much info on what they provide foodwise, whereas the No1 lounge lists a choice of eggs benedict or a bacon roll which would be enough for me really.
We're flying at about 1pm so bit of peace and quiet in a comfy seat would be good rather than trying to kill a couple of hours by aimlessly wandering around the shops etc would be great.

Happy to help, I forgot to say there is also free wifi. The normal Gatwick service is expensive and rubbish. The food in number 1 was absolutely fine, don't get me wrong, just not massive. I'd say it was ideal as a pre flight meal.

As I said just don't go for the Servisair!

I think we get 2 meals on board the flight anyway, whether they'll be any good or not is another thing.
We're flying with BA and after flying to LA with Air New Zealand last year I suspect it's not going to compare, for the first time ever I actually enjoyed a meal on a plane!
