Hyde Park Speed Bumps

has anyone negotiated these with a front splitter , especially the ones at the royal albert hall end ( alexandra gate ) which look a bit high ? cheers

i have, if you go slow enough you can get over them fine.

Does that work for the likes of Nobles/Ferraris etc, which are lower than 99% of vehicles?

If the car has not been modified by the owner ie lowered etc and is at factory default settings, then its not your fault someone had decided to stick an obstruction in the road resulting in damage to your property.

No problem for me - there are much worse elsewhere in London.

Have you shaved off a few mils from your splitter lip? Use a block of wood and some wet-and-dry. You'll only need a few mils to make a difference.

it is fine ... I have done it many a time. I just slow right down rotate my wheels so I don't hit it straight on.

There isn't a single speed bump I have not got over.

The only thing I do hit is the v shaped dip when coming out of my office car park!

Yes it's happened twice, one speed bump some where and down a garage drive .......... Is the block of wood used to make a straight line ?

Legal maximum is 100mm, all Nobles are 120mm high, so yes.

I find it's the angle of the ramp rather than simply the height that is the issue, any ideas if these are regulated? I have two ramps in my road which is a cul de sac, the first looks very tame but catches a lot of normal cars (especially taxis!)out particularly on the down side because it is downhill so the weight is forward anyway.

1:8 is the suggested maximum ramp graident.

Ergo - if it's more than that then it is highly likely it would be found to be defective and would have to have remedial work done. Your council traffic department is the best first port of call.
