Dining in Denia

We're going to spend a few days there doing not a lot. I lived in Javea 25 years ago, but obviously everything's changed since then. Any suggestions on good places for dinner (apart from El Poblet)?
I know Denia inside out had a home on the mountain 25 years. What food do you like as there are loads and loads of lovely places much much better than those at el poblet ?

Even a couple of names would do.....international fine dining ideally, but without over formality or theatricals. Expect to pay up to E150 for 2 including a reasonable bottle. What food do you like as there are loads and loads of lovely places much much better than those at el poblet ?

I lived in Javea from 86-89 and was one of the early settlers on Costa Nova. Just a little town back then. Now it's a mini-city! There used to be a reasonable restaurant near Playa Arenal...think it was called La Estrella. But I imagine there's a vast choice now.

Any names?
I think he means " EL Rasat " they have a lovely italian and a lovely fish restaurant next door to each other, Always a que for the italian in peek times so be ready to wait but worth it.At the new marina de denia you have a few places i like " Republic " for food and drink
In the main marques de campo ( long high street ) there are loads of old and new places go right to the top by the fountains a lovely place with red shutters that does rabbit
Personally one of the best is steak at a place called " merendero gallego " which is out of this world proper spanish drink out of saucers etc again gets busy esp fri and sat so a reservation is needed english isnt good but ask for the book and write in there yourself time and name on the day you want to eat.
If you know the other end of denia las rotes with all the rocks nice place there too " El Pegoli " which the king has eaten at a few times when he is local.

Well, El Raset was very decent, but Merendero Gallego serve a fillet steak that's got to be hard to beat. We also enjoyed decent fare in a place called Al Gusto in Calle Colon, and an outrageous drunken tapa binge in a daft wee bar called Faro's or something just at the port. Funnily enough, amongst the best were lunchtime experiences in a couple of local bars in a backstreet up from Marques de Campo. Great local fare in a jovial atmosphere. All in all some good food was enjoyed, and thanks again for the suggestions.
Ps: Los Remos in Javea does indeed have a nice open bay view, but it was mobbed on Sunday so a window seat wasn't possible. Maybe next time!
