I am coming to the big smoke of London this week on a course and would appreciate any suggestions for breakfast near the Old Street tube station. Preferably something reasonably inexpensive.
Thanks in advance.

Best place to go round there, bar none, the Shepherdess Cafe.

Cheap, excellent food.

Used as the location for many films too having been unchanged inside since the 60's.

Two mins from Old St station, google it.

Second this. Down City Road, on the right

Legend smile

Opposite the eye hospital (and sadly no longer 2 minutes walk from work - although my waistband may disagree).

i think calling the food there "excellent" may be pushing it a bit, but it is still a nice place to go

It is all relative. It is an excellent cafe.

It is at least near Old Street. Seems most people giving London recommendations (who usually live several hundred miles away) don't know where anything is in relation to anything else !

The Naughty Nelson isn't open for breakfast, otherwise that would be great !
