Ok first off, thank you TVR Power for the excellent engine you built for Danny to use in the GT Cup series, if any of you guy's are considering an upgrade or rebuild you won't go wrong with one of the Power rebuilds/warrenties.

We have had some issues early on but Dom and his team got them sorted straight away,we also had gearbox issues throughout the season which caused early retirements again Elete sorted these out.

When Dom gives you his word he sticks by it and has supported us throughout the year,Danny's championship chances were doomed along with Mikes at the first round through no fault of our own and we have decided to call it a day in the series.

We are now looking to move towards longer races like Brit car and Dutch Supercar and have decided with the support of Dom to go the LS Route, The car is going to be stripped over winter and rebuilt to run in the above series,Danny's engine has been sold to a racer in South Africa and we wish him luck with it.

When we spoke about this Dom agreed that to run a safe 500 bhp + for 2hrs and longer it is the only safe bet, and asking this from the speed six is unrealistic.

The engine build and conversion will be handled by Craig Taylor at Dyno Torque in Birmingham who has aslo help build the car and i consider to be one of the best around, also Dom will still be very much part of the team and we are very happy and are looking forward to next year.

Thanks for all the support from you guy's.

Interesting.

Lawrence Tomlinson told me that was the reason they (LNT) moved away from running the T440 Speed6 engined cars at Le-Mans as they couldn't build an engine that would produce enough power for long enough to be competative.

A rather damning verdict for the GT Cup I'm afraid. Organisers should take note that very few of us have any interest to see the ame old Beetles and expensive red Fiats slug it out - one reason so many people support the Dutch Supercar Challenge is the variety of phat, er, interesting cars on the grid.

Teams who are developing 'new' cars for a series rather than going for the 'ready made' GT3 etc. option should be supported rather than worked against.

Hi Craig, it would be great to See Danny in Britcar. He's an exceptional talent, which was evident at Silverstone at the first round this year. What Class will you aim to run in?

An LS you say...? Awesome! Any idea which LS you're going for yet Craig? Are you staying with Elite as well or going for something beefier?

Hi Nick,

We haven't yet decided on the LS Model or power but it will have a Hollinger bolted to the back like Andy Holdens car.

Hi Owen,

Thanks for the kind words, again not sure of the class yet depends on the power we run,Danny's brother Brett will be sharing the drive in the longer races,

Thanks for all the entertainment this season. It has been great to watch not only a clearly very tallented kid but also to see a full blown Tiv sticking it to other marques again.

It's a great shame that the s6, even now, isn't a fiscally prudent package at this level but it will still be excellent to see the Sag in Britcar. Hope the switchover goes well and wish you all the best for next season.

It's been a fantastic season Craig and well done for having the balls to run with the TVR Supersport 4.5 Speed Six engine when everyone thought you were mad and you should just run a ls like so many others have done,

the race wins, poles and fastest laps in GT Cup sure proved em all wrong and I hope Dom finds another racer who can also get the best out of his S6 engine like Danny did,

it's a great shame the S6 engine isn't suited to endurance racing but I for one will always support Danny no matter what car he is in as he is a great lad,

Thanks again for a fantastic year it has been great watching a 100% TVR being driven by such a talented young driver and beating all them more modern F430GTC/997GT3 etc race cars,

Good luck next year.

Tvr Power will be building there own Race sagaris for further developments, Its not over just Yet with our Speed Six naturally aspirated engines, we have shown our 4.5 can compete with the competition, now we need to step the program up a few notches to make more HP/TRQ.

In The mean time Ls is the only way forward for Team Winstanley
