For some bizarre reason I spend more time on this bl*dy website than working, or so it seems ... I'm going to get sacked if I keep it up ... Can't tear myself away ...

Anyone else have this problem?

Any support groups out there who can help? The PA - Pistonheadaholics Anonymous?

(mind you - while I've made about 180 posts in the past 2 months - I see a certain Mr. C. Zee has made well over 1200 in four )

I know the feeling. Ted - you need to offer a text only flavour of the Gassing Station, that way it looks like we're working.

I was alarmed at this problem when I first noticed I had it. But now I just accept it, I now it won't go away and I know I can't beat it.

But I know my employees have sussed that I don't need to be on the computer all this time. Only good thing is that because I can touch type and I am pretty fast at it, it sounds like something pretty serious is going on!

It started as just a casual thing with friends, you know, get back from the pub, have a quick couple of posts. Then I found myself doing it after work as soon as I got home, every day, a quick post here, a quick post there, before I knew it I was on upwards of 10 a day. Then the worst happened, I started (ab)using at work and now I am hooked. My friends and family are all just where they were when I last looked, no money is being sucked out of my bank but I am addicted.

Please help.

Matt.

I'm thinking I should change my username to PHAdict!

If I'm not doing something important, like...having a dump, I'm on PH!

I'm in college just now, I'll log on when I get home, and no doubt I log in when I get back this evening!

It's worrying!

I too thought I had a slight PH addiction so decided to see how long I could go without it. Managed three and a half days OK so I wasn't near a computer during that time (They really should put internet connections in pubs ) but thats not the point. PH doesn't have to control your life!

I can't resist either, allthough I don't post that much I do constantly check out the forums. I get into work and it's the first thing I do and then like Sky news, it's on the hour - every hour. I think the only way is to stop the growing of this drug and this means removing of the land owner - Petrol Ted will have to be assasinated - it's the only way I will ever get any work done. Ted, which day will you be at the sport car show

Thanks for that suggestion of assasination. I'll take that as a compliment!

Won't be at the Sportscar show unfortunately as I'll be making the trek up north to Croft for the GTs & Tuscans.

It started off just as an experiment for me. I did it once and I liked it. Started to become a regular thing. Thought I was on top of it, thought I could stop whenever I liked. But I cant stop. The first step for me was to admit that I was addicted. I have thought about attending a PA session but have to decided to go it alone and maybe even go cold turkey. But what I am trying to do is cut down. Anyone tried the patches.

the fleece keeps my addiction under control! But I lost control when I got the stickers!

All over my Keyboard! Just to remind me what a bad thing is.....

But the car is getting really bad! Stickers on the front and back widows, a fleece on the back seat, the torch in the glovebox! It's getting terrible!!
