Sound recording in Harrogate, Sunday 20:th of June
Discussion
No kidding. I will bring serious recording gear to make recordings for a coming TVR CD. Is there anyone that know how to get in contact with owners of "rare" cars. Like a 50:ies Sports Saloon or a 60:ies Griffith? Even if such a car won't come to Harrogate on Sunday, I might be able to visit the owner on Sunday if it isn't too far off the road from Blackpool. There might be a chance to do recordings in Blackpool on Monday 21:st also, if you cant make it on Sunday.
But anyone with a loud or odd TVR is encouraged to com to this Yorkshire meeting not just the ones I mention above above.
Thx
Hans

Good comment. But I don't know. There is some kind of car event there. I'm not into the details since I have a "driver" to get there. I thought it was commonly known over there. My guess is mid day and go in the direction of the rumbles... Hopefully someone else can comment more in detail.

There is an event at Harewood House, I'm not aware of anything in Harrogate.
Classic & Vintage Vehicle Rally, Sunday 20th June.

I went to the Fathers Day bash at Harewood two years ago.
Or rather I didn't..........................
We got to about four miles from Harewood where we hit total gridlock. I was in my old E-Type then and it got very hot fairly quickly. In the end, after checking alternative routes, we gave up. I was coming from the North, my brother from central Leeds. Neither of us made it. Is the traffic that much of a problem every year?

Thanks everyone that blasted by the microphone! Good fun. I got 11 cars recorded during Sunday and managed to get a Typhon out on a street in Blackpool on Monday.
At present it looks like the CD will be able cover just about all street models TVR has made except the very early sports saloon. (Even got a 3000S turbo recorded)
If all goes as planned TVRCC should have the CD in ther merchandise in the end of November. I think they will sell it for 10-11 GBP or so. I hope some one will be interested in this somewhat odd regalia...

Hi Hans
I enjoyed the gentle drive in the country as well thanks
& your little squeel of delight (or was it fear) on the drive back made me giggle, the Tam handles well doesn't she? I'm sure the microphone picked it up.
I hope Graham is feeling better, poor guy.

You know what, people who listen to sounds of cars are quite simply odd.
Or so people told me as we sat in my back garden having a BBQ about 5 weeks ago and at the end of my CD compilation, the sound of a Mclaren Formula 1 screamed out of the house and across the peaceful Sunday air to the shock of my guests.
"Ahh, listen to that!", I shouted.
"You're f**kin' weird mate", they responded.
Excellent!
