Cheshire lunch???
Discussion
Places to have lunch in Cheshire on a Sunday, Knutsford, Wilmslow, alderley edge. Looking for somewhere to have lunch with my girlfriend tomorrow, somewhere nice but not stupidly priced. Have been to the frozen mop in mobberly and stay in alderly edge in the in the past. Any suggestion would help me out.
Well I was close Knutsford rang a bell http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
Depends how far you wish to travel but I recommend the Golden Pheasant in Plumley, lovely inside especially when the fires going . If you want to book ask for table 35
. Although eating in the bar area is also good:

Leigh arms, Mottram. Great sunday lunch, great beer, lovely "pubby" pub. My favourite for a "god that was luch" every time sunday roast.
Roebuck, google it. Bloody lovely, but at 16 quid a plate for sunday roast, it needs to be. I prefer the more "pub" atmo in the leigh, but if you like food to look pretty the roebuck probably edges it.
Merlin, Alderley edge. Great, but don;t get a roast. the rest of the menu is far better.
Mermaid, google, about 15 mins tops from AE. Great when it's sunny, becayuse of the beer garen / kids beer garden / fun route to get there. Cheaper than all the above, but still great.
Hale Kitchen (not hale grill) - had 3 meals there, 2 were amazing (like amazing in itallics), but the other one was very dissapointing. Use vouchercloud and it's 50% off, so ends up pretty cheap too!
