Who else here likes Led Zep then? Simply one of the greatest, most diverse bands ever. Four incredibly talented people, each meshing perfectly (a lot like The Who).

Led Zeppelin are one of, if not the greatest rock act of the seventies, like Pink Flloyd, you would sell your kidneys to see them live and in their prime.

Yes, big fan here.

Saw them at Earls Court '75 and both Knebworth shows in '79, plus seen Page and Plant seperately several times since.

Also met John Bonham in a Kidderminster pub in '78.....Quite a funny story.

As an aside, before I met mrs k and returning after some excessive imbibing (i.e. getting stfaced) there was a channel on analogue satellite that played rock / metal in the early hours of the morning. It may have been the early days of VH1? Whatever.

I loved it. Typical Zep, with a nod to Delta Blues but with the trademark Zep rock applied. As a video, it's a good montage as well that includes some of the film, "The Song Remains The Same". From which, is one of my favourite guitar intros:

With the exception of Joplin, saw all of them (on seperate occasions obviously) happy days!
Seems quite a few on here went to Knebworth in 79, I slept in my Rover 2000TC, tabaco leaf brown, on the verge in some industrial estate, with my mates in a tent pitched in front on the grass between the pavement and the road, how did we get away with that?

Anyway I raise your turd brown Rover, my first car was a pistachio green vauxhall!!!

Nice that one of the best current guitarists Joe Bonamassa grafts the end of the live version of Dazed and Confused onto ZZTop's Just Got Paid in his live set as a tribute, still his version of Tea For One is completely shown up by the original.

I picked up a copy of Led Zep 1 at Christmas in 1980. I was hooked instantly. Then I found out that Bonzo had died three months before an there was no more Zeppelin.

One of the biggest disappointments of my life was failing to get tickets for the O2 reunion concert. The only consolation is that I saw Page and Plant in 1998 on the Walking into Clarksdale tour.

When listening to something like What is and what should never be or the Ocean, I never fail to be impressed by the sheer swagger - those songs are the product of four guys who just knew they had it.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one old enough to have seen them at Knebworth in '79! Left the pub at closing time and went with my mate two-up on my Suzuki GS750, arriving in the early hours. I remember trying to get some sleep on the grass in the rain! My first outdoor gig, and what a first!!!

I've since seen Robert many, many times, at various venues including his Strange Sensation tour at the Royal Albert Hall - awesome!

I've also seen Robert and Jimmy together, including the Honeydrippers tour at the NEC, the Unledded tour at Poole Arts Centre, and at the ice rink in Bordeaux, France.

My ex even got us entry to Roberts after-gig party at the Brixton Academy!
