Please recommend me good night/weekend away

Within @ 3hrs drive of Grantham. :|
Either nice restaurant with rooms or country house hotel with good restaurant.
Must have good wine list. And preferably <15 rooms....
I've done the following:

hambleton hall
le manior
Prestonfield/witchery/tom kitchin/martin wishart
Le champignon de sauvage
Devonshire Arms
padstein
Any ideas? I fancied the Samling....but trip advisor seems to think the rooms are ropey and if I'm going to take the hit on a big-ish room bill, I want them non-tatty.
