At the risk of much pi55 taking! we have blown the engine on our 2002 Pulse Coupe (or rather the driver didn't put the oil cap back on!!)

Has anyone any ideas on anywhere to get a new one other than Smart UK who are quoting £2k but even worse than that, two weeks, to get one!

Cheers

You could always just cut out the drivers florpan and have the driver propel it around flintstones style?

But at 2k for a new engine I think a Holeshot bike engine conversion would be about the same!!!! (Not too sure how the insurance company would look on it for commerccial use though )

You Bloody Canuks!

I have enough problems with them keeping 60 bhp between the kerbs, what chance with 100+ !!

Now get back to work!

Ok, I know it's not exactly in budget, but go have a talk to Z-cars and stick a nice bike engine in!

Talking about bike engines (btw, sorry for the hijack) I was at an Autograss meet the other week and there were a couple of Fiat Seicento's being run (bit of an affinity there..) but they were running in the higher classes.. as they had...

TWO bike engines, in the back, rear wheel drive, WOW!

D'ya reckon I could get one of those thru a MOT?!?!?

Well, there's Matt Fox's twin R1 engined Mini (was in the classifieds here a while back) that is fully road legal, so I don't see why not...
