Hi,

My 1998 Mondeo ST24 needs new rear pads that my brother can get hold of cheaply through his company. Trouble is, they need to know which one of 3 possibilities my car has. Is there any way of finding out other than taking the old ones off and tracing around them?

The chassis number or vin number should suffice for checking on their parts system

It would, but they can't do that. Anyone here work for Ford if I give them the VIN number?

What about a quick call to Ford dealer to get the right part number?

Or their must be a Ford forum with members with the parts CD/catalogue like I have for VAG

www.fordmondeo.org should be able to help you

My 1997 ST24 had bendix rear brakes. the front pads were off the Escort Cosworth. later cars (maybe yours) run Zetec pads on the front but run on the bigger discs of the V6, rear i'm not sure about. only way is to get the wheel off and check
