October Photography Competition - Discussion

After much deliberation and the checking of previous months topics I've chosen Black and White for this month. Frankly I was surprised that the topic had never been chosen before, so for this the oldest of all forms of photography let your minds run wild and lets see the best of your Black and White photographs!

Usual monthly competition rules apply and I'll judge the competition as soon after the close as possible.

I think this is only the 3rd month Ive entered, some great pics in this thread already.

Some of the ones in the competition thread look awesome, but I few make me think "that'd look great in colour..."

Do people take them in black and white, or take them in colour and then monochrome them in a paint type program?

Id say most people shoot in colour and manipulate in Photoshop (or other) later.
