Kuota Bikes - Any good?
Discussion
Evening Pedal Powered Friends!
The G/F is looking to buy a new bike (the idea of the Wales Ironman has popped into her head for next year!) and is interested in the Kuota Korsa Lite. I'm afraid google has let me down a little here as I can't find too much about Kuota!
Anyone have an experience or how they compare to other brands such as Cube etc??
Thanks,
Dan

Italian frame... not the lightest, but they're gorgeous to look at.
I am really tempted by the Kuota Kebel for 2012.

Mate of mine has a Kharma - stunning bike, rides really well - weighs about the same as my bike (2010 Felt F75), but looks waaaayyyyy better.
He did the JOG-LE this year without a hitch, rode the Bath to Bournemouth with me yesterday - again without a hitch and also got a few comments from other riders.

kuota are very popular with the tri crowd, I assume the geometry of the drop bar bikes suits a pair of aerobars? one of the guys in the tri club has a Kharma and really likes it and cokmes out with all the usual "its very stiff", "power transfer", "confident handling", "aero" etc comments.
Have a look at Epic Cycles who (dependant upon where in Wales you are) may be your closest dealer.
general web reseearch suggests that they are made in Taiwan by Martec and imported into Italy by Kuota. check out the martec website if you have any concerns www.martec.com.tw some bits loko familiar so I guess they make carbon cycle components for other manufacturers too.

Cheers for the repies guys, have to say I do think they look very nice!
I think she is quite tempted and will probably go for it, the spec certainly seems pretty good for the money (I think the LBS has upgraded the wheels for nothing too).
I think the Cube bikes are great if you don't live in a town with a dealer! Every other bike in Hereford seems to be a cube lol!
