DJ Shadow - 'The Less You Know, The Better'



This guy is immense. Entroducing was a seminal piece of work and since then, he has always evolved. It may not have been to everyone's tastes, but nothing has had the same sound.

From the little clips I've heard, it sounds very good indeed.

i'll definately give it a whirl bun downhill for me.i got the private press which was ok but the album after that with the masked fella on the front i dispised and only played it once to be honest

That last album is called The Outsider. I too found it difficult to enjoy but when I went to see the concert for that album it suddenly all seemed to make sense. I'd consider him a live artist (he is a DJ after all) and the recordings don't really live up to the live experience.

Endtroducing and The Private Press. There are also loads of collaborations and EPs but start with Endtroducing.

Big Shadow fan, as said, Entroducting and Private Press were superb. Only heard 'Scale It Back' and can't get enough of it.

There was a freebie 'Remix Project' album available some months ago that was really pretty good; especially for those that rate Endtroducing. Not obtained the new one yet but will remedy at the weekend... looking forward to it

I actually didn't think The Outsider was that bad. Actually quite liked it, but this is definately a lot easier to get into. Doesn't take as many listens to really appreciate.

Production is top notch....but what else would you expect from Shadow



Now just need to decide whether to catch the Bristol Gig, the London Gig, or both
