Whale watching scotland

Hello all
we are off to Scotland in half term and plan to stay in/near Oban or perhaps on the Isle of Mull. Has anyone been on any of the Whale watching trips? Which company did you use. There seem to be a few and just wondered if anyone had any experience.
I realise we may be disappointed but here are other things to spot as well so the boat trip might be good if the weather is ok.
