Bit of a long shot this one

I seem to remember someone telling me that they replaced the clutch fluid on their duke between services, and that that was a good idea

Just looking at mine and is does appear to be quite dark and contaminated

Any ideas ??

Thanks

Clutch fluid on mine gets black very quickly, not sure why, but doesn't seem to affect it (at the moment it is crystal clear having just been changed during service).

BTW if your hand's tired of pulling the heavy lever you can get a different slave cylinder that reduces the load by, IIRC, about 30% (does it need more travel though?) Only time it's a problem is in heavy traffic and I try to avoid that...besides it gives me an opportunity to make my left wrist as 'developed' as the right

Mine was self changing.... The slave cylinder seal had gone and I couldn't get a replacement.... Just meant I had a total fluid change about once a month

Cheers, I might just change it anyway if I have time
