That is a very cool motor. Love the grill!
Taking pics like this (i.e. when you can't control the location/position of the car) is always tricky...if you can't get a good angle without a distracting background, you could always do a very tight crop or just concentrate on interesting details (cars like this have those in spades). Or if you have a fast lens, you could get close at max aperture & zoom which will 'blur out' the background, although you'll probably have to be so close you still won't fit the whole car in shot (unless you have a super-dooper lens).

I think it's a '34 Ford Sport Couple body, the wheels are off a Dodge Ram Truck, the radiator is in the back, not sure what the grill is from, maybe a 32 without the shell. I find myself becoming more of a traditionalist when it comes to Rods, I think it's pretty cool but I'd prefer it on steel wheels with taller rubber, rather than the modern wheels/tyres and the IFS stands out with the see through grill, I like a nice I beam front end. Having said all that it's down to the owner how he wants it to look and it would be a boring place if we all had the same taste!
