Hi all,

My front brake discs look shot. A couple of massive groves seem to have found their way into the surface (crap from the last track day stuck between the pad perhaps). Anyway, any recommendations for replacements? Also, is it an easy DIY jobbie?

It's a 2005 STi. PCD 114.

Thanks

Very easy job.

Just unbolt the caliper. them the caiper brackets. the disk screws and they should pull off after a whach with a rubber mallet.

Make sure the facings are clean and you have removed all the oil from the replacements. You should also fit new pads.

30mins a side should be about right.

Thanks mate. I like to do as much as I can myself. I could do with some new pads also as I suspect there is some st wedged in my existing ones...

I use the Mrs's nail varnish remover for this job. She loves it when I hand her back the grubby bottle biggrin

this might help as well http://bbs.scoobynet.com/essex-scooby-crew-362/819...
