Hi All,

I marshalled at Oulton last weekend. I must say the Minis were best, followed by the Morgans then FPA as for the Formula Woman thing....I thought Mazda RX8s were full of Zoom, Zoom, Zoom.
All i saw was cars without Oom Oom, Oom just leaving us to ZZZZZZZs
The worst race I have ever seen 2CVs are far better.

Hi Ian

Unfortunately I used the services of your colleagues again at Knockhill the other week. Must stop fraternising with marshals - its getting prohibitively expensive!!

As a marshal you see a lot of racing - so as someone without an axe to grind on this (see other threads) can you tell us what made the racing so poor?

Thanks

Andy

The racing was poor due to the drivers being poor.

To be honest the drivers are all pretty to look at and in my opinion they were chosen on looks rather on merit. One of the drivers tootled round at the back of the grid. My granny can drive faster.

O.K. there are one or two drivers in there that are'nt too bad but honestly the whole thing was a huge joke. The marshals nicknamed the 'races' as 'Formula handbag'. My wife Nadine (also a marshal) was ashamed to be a woman.

Thanks Ian - its good to have an opinion from someone like yourself who has been around motorsport for a while but who is completely independent of the series and anyone who entered it.

If Motorsport News/Autosport give it column inches at the expense of 'proper' motorsport, we must all e mail the editor to complain!!

Enough said on the topic I think...
