More planning decision "racism"
Discussion
What do you mean, the pie people have to abide by basic planning restrictions on green belt land?
That's racism!
What do you mean, I can't build my big religious monstrosity wherever I bloody well like?

I hope this isn't a new trend...

What worries me more is that someone in power might look at this and think "OH MY GOOD LORD we are being racist, lets just build this thing quickly so that we arent racist anymore".
Seriously. If there arent enough mosques in the area, then fine build another one where planning permission allows but - the idea that some sort of special dispensation should be given on the basis of this being to do with Islam, or indeed in the other recent case, "the traveller way of life" is utterly absurd.
Nobody, Islamic, Jewish, Christian, or seventh-day-advent-hoppist would be allowed to build something enormous which towers over the surrounding landscape, and is not in keeping. Thems the rules, the rules of the country you live in. Eat it.
I suspect if someone tried to build a mega-church in the centre of Mecca, in Saudi they might well face stern opposition. Why should it be any different here ?.
Everyone is so bloody keen to play the race card these days - besides, shouldnt it be "religionist" rather than "racist" ? - or would that have less of a media impact as terminology.
Urine temperature: Tepid, and rising.

Standard tactic on any group now is to claim racism and just about anything else. See the 'traveller' camp in Essex and there use of lots of emotive words to paint themselves as poor victims and even getting some idiot to call it ethnic cleansing.
This guy is aiming for a bit of the same calling it islamophobia and institutional racism.

If it furthers their agenda then I don't blame them for using the race card. It's the system and our 'oh no we can't be seen to be racist' culture which is rotten, not those who play it to their advantage.
Yeah, f
k personal responsibility for acting like a t
t and just blame the system. Should do what they did in Spain!
In Spain, people stopped the construction of another mosque in their town.
They buried a pig on the site, and made sure this would be known by the local press. The Islamic rules forbid the erecting of a Mosque on "pig soiled ground." The Muslims had to cancel the project.
Just got that from a friend in Canada

But deeply religious people also often embrace hypocrisy and adopt the religion of convenience.
