My first GoPro video - Minton Batch Long Mynd

Not sure if anyone would be interested in watching this, but this is my first attempt at using a Go Pro I just bought. I filmed it at the Minton Batch single track descent on the Long Mynd, which is well worth a visit if you have never been. All comments on things I could do better are appreciated J

I thought the soundtrack was erm . . a bit awful. It doesn't seem to match your video or add anything to it.

The film was also very jumpy, i know it's bumpy on your bike but don't people manage to make it look a bit smoother somehow.

At least it's not death metal... I can live with the music. The general rule of thumb is to use music that fits the video rather than music you like, and it's not too bad..

Looks good quality bar the jumping.. I'd say a good 1st effort

Cheers guys, I'll try sticking some foam padding or something behind the chest harness to try and reduce the bumpiness, or maybe I just need a full suspension bike

Helmet mount will make it smooth - your head is the most stable point, your body pretty much does that the bike does.

Just what I was thinking. Doesn't wearing it on a chest harness make you look a bit like a Dalek?

You looked as though your mate was slowing you down quite a bit!

To make it smoother use 720 instead of 1080 when recording, it makes a big difference!

It's not bad, just go in decent weather as it is pretty exposed up there!

I filmed some on my helmet, and it is smoother, but I think I feel more detached from the action. I put the video through deshaker - and this has made it much smoother.

You looked as though your mate was slowing you down quite a bit!

You look more like you are wearing a bra, and the slow one was me, with my brother filming - he is a faster rider than me.

I only have the cheapo HD hero 960, with this being filmed in 960, next time I am going to do the harness up a bit tighter and see how that works.
