The Wheel Specialist Aberdeen
Discussion
Hi,
Has anyone on here used the above?
They've recently opened this branch and thus there are no testimonials so far. Took a drive past yesterday and they appear to be busy.
Looking for somewhere to refurb my M5 alloys, but it's too much hassle to send the wheels off for the best part of a week. With the WS I can just drive in/out within a day or two.
Cheers

I used them last month to refurbish a set of second hand alloys I bought for use with winter tyres. I had them powder coated after being stripped back to the metal. I'm really impressed with the finish and the service was good.
When I was in there was lots of nice machinery inside having their wheels done, Mercs, Beemers etc etc.

They are in Dyce - Wellheads Crescent.
They can quote online as long as you don't want tyres or custom finishes.

, could mark the quality of the finish out of 10 pls?
I would have to say 10 out of 10 as I am happy with the end result and I can't see how they could be improved. They also opened up early to allow me to drop the wheels off at a time that suited me (impressed with that). While I was there I was given a guided tour of their workshop and showed me all the stages they went through during a refurbishment.
From memory I paid about £75 a wheel. Remember though that this wasn't just a touch up it was a full strip down and reapplication of the layers before a final wax and seal.
The wheels were OEM BMW M-sport alloys. They were in acid for the best part of a day to remove the old paint/laquer etc. According to the chap at WS, German alloys are notorious for taking ages to strip. Japanese alloys on the other hand take minutes apparently!!!
Update - had Ash and the guys at the Wheel Specialist refurb my alloys this week and I am over the moon. Great job and top service.
I am not easily pleased at all, but the quality of the finish on my now smoked chrome wheels is excellent!
Haven't got any decent pics, but check out: http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Wheel-Specialist...
Good bunch of guys there, they will do you proud.

The wheel specialist are highly recommended from me, the finish achieved on my wheels were 100% perfect, very friendly, knowledgable guys who couldn't have done more to ensure I was a happy chappy.
The workshop looks spot on very tidy, clean and well presented which says a lot about a company IMO.
