I'm trying to find a good place for dinner about half way between Exeter and Falmouth.
Can anyone recommend a decent pub or restaurant not too far off the A30 near Bodmin some somewhere near ?
Thanks in advance !

Two great choices:

Old Inn, St Breward - a nightmare to get to but well worth it. The highest pub in Cornwall and a friendly but very 'local' pub.

Masons Arms, St Kew Highway.

If you go to the Old Inn, tell Noddy or Rich that the couple that got engaged on Brown Willy sent you!

Thanks for the suggestions. Have just enjoyed a great evening at the Old Inn. Nice pub, good food and a great drive through the lanes.
Will try St Kew next trip!
Cheers

Just came back from a week in the area.
The Crown at Lanlivery is pretty good - always busy.
The Globe at Lostwithiel - had a good meal there, and some nice beer.
A little bit further south, Sam's on Fore Street, Fowey does some really good seafood (and is open a bit later than most places).

That's great to know. We love the place and have many a great night (and extended nights!) with the locals.
We normally stay a 10 minute walk over the moors - not the easiest to navigate with a skinful of Sharps!
