Hi guys - after a deal of fiddling with a somewhat reluctant drivers side window, I've come to the conclusion that the actual switch is at fault.

However I can't get any info on where they came from and if they are currently avaiable. Has any kind soul had to source them recently, or alternatively, does anyone have one for sale?

IIRC they came from an Alpha 75 but alternatives have been posted on here if you search the threads

Mine is also faulty , but how do you get them out from the console without damaging the vynil ?

A small screwdriver under the lip of the switch, mine came out quite easily and did no damage.

Just to add that the switch contacts are tiny and quickly get burnt with the amount of current they have to handle, especially once the window channel rubbers lose their felt and everything generally gets a bit stiff and tired; it is the reason we hear so often of the drivers side being the first to go.

I am working on a relay mod that will have the switches only operating the relay and therefore the relay will be taking all the heavy current. Easier to replace than the switches.
