If you've never seen Pink Floyd live in Pompeii, then you are in for a treat. Absolutely superb footage I often watch it at work on nights with the office lights off

Well, he played Pink in the film, but I wouldn't say his role was pivotal, though it's amazing how many people thought BG was in Floyd because of his role in the film.

but he also had a huge input into getting them to play together in live aid IIRC.

He knows very little about Pink Floyd and he demonstrated that in the interview. He was only brought in to talk about them because of his success in bringing them back together for 20 minutes.

You are certainly true on that one

But apart from that and him taking the role in the film, he's not a Floyd person. And I stand by my comment about BG not being pivotal in the film. Waters emotional issues surrounding the loss of his father made The Wall what it was.

I didnt used to get them either. Then I saw Walters in Berlin in 1992 and then Pulse in 1994 ... Hooked since then !

Best single gig was Gilmour at the Albert Hall in 2007 ... utterly amazing. Walters Wall at the O2 was amazing too, more for the spectacle than the music ...

I went to the cinema to see this when it came out. It's sad that the concept of a band has changed so much.

I like to think that I'm a muso, but apart from wish you were here, shine on you crazy diamond, and comfortably numb, I just don't care about Pink Floyd. Is this terrible? Don't get me wrong I think those are awesome, but still, the rest leave me cold. I would rather listen to an early metallica album, or Tool.
