I'm doing a bit of work on Dave_M's wedge

Vacuum advance diaphragm wasn't working - no wonder!
It is 27 years old though, I bet its the original!
The vacuum diaphragm has 2 layers - but both were full of holes







and I don't think I've ever seen tracking on a dizzy as clear as this - no wonder it was misfiring!

Interesting carbon track between the terminals, gess there is a crack in there...
Gess the wedge was pinking and running rough.

The old "get you home" trick was to paint over the crack with nail varnish, got us home from France in a Bedford CA Dormobile many years ago when I was a kid.
