Stoneleigh 2002
Graham Bell visited the Stoneleigh Kit Car show earlier this month and snapped some exotic looking cars
Discussion
There probably would have been 4000 cars had it been organised better. By the time I turned up (11am) there was a 1.5hr queue for kit cars to get in (got to be the oddest looking traffic jam in history!). I like many others had to park my Ginetta in one of the public car parks and (grudgingly) had to pay to get in.
The Pantera was such a good looking car untill somebody tried to Countach-it-up, pity , Ironicly the Countach itself looked so much better in its' earlier guises (sp?)as well , as for kit cars, well there is no accounting for taste or common sense . one mans meat etc etc . Most are not "horrific", some are , but SVA has killed of the deathtraps , and several are just awesome , Ultimas are the Horniest cars ever produced , and the quality is superb , just remember where Lotus started out
Someone above asked if they'd ever be a TVR replica ?
About 2 years ago at a kit car show, a small manufacturer was taking orders for a Griffith replica !!!
I never saw one after that show so I guess they didnt get into production, either that or TVR put the kybosh on it. Goog thing really, copying only dilutes the products.
