With the 'Last Night...' in the background, do you think that the next Monarch should ditch 'God save our gracious...' and bring us something new for people can get behind?

I've always liked 'I vow to thee, My country' as being rather patriotic.
Good suggestion, but almost too good. Every time we won an Olympic medal or F1 race everyone would be in tears because it's so moving hehe

I've always found Jerusalem to be a suitably stirring tune.

And suitably bks-filled to replace the current one.

Jerusalem would be great if it didn't mention Jerusalem.

Something else .

When i am watching motorsport podiums ,i like Italian and [dont shoot]French anthems.

They are just a bit more jolly to listen to.

Ours is a bit boring.

What does annoy me is when anthems are cut short,at least play the full verse.

But the Monarch is no longer the focal point of the country. I think that the anthem should be something which celebrates the country we live in and all the people in it, not just one.
