These 'pocket camcorders' - Recommend me one please!

Hi all,
I'm not really into video, much more of photo man, however recently I've enjoyed filming a few shenanigans on my iPhone 4 and editing it on my mac for the amusement of my friends.
I'm really quite surprised at the quality of video out of the iPhone (Think it's 720p HD) but the type of stuff I'm filming is always outdoor such as cars, skiing/snowboarding, mucking about on quads and dirtbikes etc so I've had to be really careful as I'm frightened of killing what is essentially a £500+ phone! Plus the lack of tripod mount was a pain and I've used gaffer tape once which wasn't ideal.
I then dug out my old 7 megapixel Sony T10 compact and used that as I had retired it and didn't matter if I destroyed it, plus it had a tripod mount... But the video quality was quite poor compared to the iPhone. Looks like things have improved since 2006! The sony produced real steady images though, must have decent stabilisation.
So I need a dedicated pocket camcorder that is small enough to stick on a mount on the outside of a car or bike, produces good HD video and is either cheap enough not to worry about dropping (£100ish) or is actually drop/splash proof in the first place.
Can anyone recommend anything?
I quite like the look of the Kodak PlaySport ZX5 and it's only £100 plus drop/splash proof which is great but I don't know what the quality is like.
The other option is the GoPro HD but it seems really expensive (£250+) for something that doesn't even have a rear screen or viewfinder to line up the shot before pressing record and setting off.
Anything else??
